The Fence is Down in Dante Park
After many years of looking at a chicken wire fence, Dante Park is finally free of the tangle of wire that hung around its border for many years. The freshly opened space comes thanks to the Parks Department which removed the fence earlier this month. Plus, thanks to additional funds from the Greenacre Foundation and Council Member Helen Rosenthal, the Lincoln Square BID will be able to add more greenery to an increasingly beautiful green space.

While the newly opened park is inviting, we ask that you please keep off of the grass in an effort to keep the park as pristine as possible. Please continue to use the Lincoln Square BID's trash and recycling receptacles for any litter. And, as a reminder, dogs are not permitted in the park. Of course, everyone is welcome to enjoy the multiple shady seating areas along Dante Park's perimeter.
New Shades for the Summer
Summer is officially here, and that means lots of days in the sunshine. So, you'll definitely want to check out Lincoln Square's eye-wear stores for the latest sunglass styles.

In The Shops at Columbus Circle, both Morgenthal Frederics on the ground floor and newly reopened Solstice on the third floor offer unique and chic sunglasses and frames. At Morgenthal Frederics, you can shop the store's Sun collection, which features ten different designs including aviator styles and cat-eye styles as well as round frames. Some of the options even come in bold colors to capture the fun elements of summer style. At Solstice, there are plenty of great name brand sunglasses-such as Fendi, Marc Jacobs, and Ray Ban-for both men and women. The store offers a wide selection of styles that range in color, frame shape, and material, so you can find something that really matches your personal style. If you want to add some shade to your shades, swing by J. Crew or H&M to pickup a classic Panama hat for an iconic summer look.

Oslo: New Play Opening at Lincoln Center Theater
Oslo, a dark comedy about the back-channel talks that led to the Oslo Peace Accords crystallized by the iconic handshake between Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat on the South Lawn of the White House, is set to open at Lincoln Center Theater on Monday, July 11. The show is currently in previews and tickets are available now.

The play has been described as a darkly funny and sweeping work about a group of Israeli, Palestinian, Norwegian and American men and women struggling to overcome their fears, mistrust and hatred of each other. As he did with such wit and intelligence in Blood and Gifts, playwright J.T. Rogers once again presents a deeply personal story set against a complex historical canvas that examines the individuals behind world history and their all too human ambitions.

Oslo will run at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater in the lower level of the Vivian Beaumont Theater located at 150 West 65th Street. Tickets are available for purchase at lct.org or via Telecharge at 212.239.6200
