Super Bowl XLVIII is Coming to New York City

On Sunday, February 2, 2014, MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey will host Super Bowl XLVIII.

The Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos may be playing across the river, but the party is here in New York City. The Super Bowl Host Committee is gearing up for "Super Bowl Boulevard," a series of football-themed experiences that will take over Midtown Manhattan the week before the big game. There will be concerts, broadcasts, a specially made toboggan run, and you will even have a chance to pose with the Vince Lombardi Trophy before it is handed over to the winner of Super Bowl XLVIII.

There are too many exciting things to mention, so visit nynjsuperbowl.com or visit the websites of our colleagues in the center of the action: Times Square Alliance, 34th Street Partnership, and Garment District Alliance to see everything that is planned.

Remember, there will be plenty of fans pouring into Midtown Manhattan, so please note the following street closures:

  • Broadway will be closed from 34th Street to 47th Street from Sunday, January 26th until Sunday, February 2nd.
  • All cross streets are expected to remain open with the exception of 41st Street.
  • 41st Street from 6th to 7th Avenue will be closed from 9:00 a.m. until midnight. All other times it will be local traffic only.
