The weather up here is turning colder and has curtailed my plein air studies. I'm back in the studio full time and although I miss being outdoors, I'm very comfortable working at my big easel in a warm room. The painting above was in my head for a couple of months and I managed to get at it in between commissions. Funny how some ideas persistently prod an artist until we finally carve out some time for it's creation. The title is Eventide which is the transition from late afternoon into evening. You can read more details about my inspiration here.

Three more greyhounds are destined for my studio for embellishment. I have to admit, as much as I dislike acrylic paint, it has become a challenge that I savor. My client has given me instructions for the subject matter but leaves me to my own creativity as to how to design each piece. Dream client.
A bit more about the hounds on my blog here.
