Kickstarter

Kickstarter is a web-based funding platform for creative projects. In a nutshell, an artistic project is conceived, planned and presented for possible funding. Not merely a request for donations, there are rewards. Let me explain...

My project title is: Renderings of Historic Saratoga Race Course

This year is the 150th Anniversary of Saratoga Race Course. To celebrate the events, stories, people and history of the track (often deliciously notorious), I'm creating eight 11"x14" ink drawings illustrating scenes from about 1860 to 1960.  Because I'm an oil painter used to working in luscious color, these drawings will be embellished with washes of watercolor. These originals will be scanned and made into prints. The final product will be a matted color print ready to drop into a standard 8"x10" frame.

Now for the rewards!
For every $25. pledged to the project, you will have your choice of one of the eight matted prints. So, for a $50. pledge you'll receive two matted prints and so on. If you'd like to be a really generous angel and pledge $300. you'll have your choice of one nicely framed original drawing.

Kickstarter is all or nothing. The project must be fully funded or it's a no-go. And your pledge will not be charged until the project has successfully met it's goal.
