WSS Students Are Excited to Receive
Their Scholarship Funds!
Xela AID's Work Study Scholarship Program (WSS) makes it possible for nearly 100 children to be in school who otherwise, would not have the opportunity. This is made possible by our generous sponsors! Older WSS-sponsored children receive monthly distributions to be in technical school and college. Two times a year, funds are distributed to children in grade school, like the one pictured above. Children and their parents sign agreements in which they promise to attend school and maintain a 60% average in order to continue to receive their help. Distribution time is an exciting time, since with monies, children will register for school and purchase books, paper and other essentials so that they can have an opportunity that in many cases their parents did not: to learn to read and write and begin to explore the secrets of our wonderful world!

Want to make a child's dreams come true? Visit our Children Awaiting Sponsors page, then write to us at amy@xelaaid.org.
