From the Executive Director:
What Does International House Mean to You?

As the year draws to a close, many of us consider gifts to causes that are near and dear to us. I hope you believe in the mission and work of International House and will help us continue to transform lives, both here in Charlotte and around the world.

Many of you know what it is like to be new to this country, or perhaps your parents and grandparents came to the United States in search of the American Dream. If so, then you can understand why it is so important that International House continue to provide ESL and education classes, legal services, and other resources to Charlotte's vulnerable immigrant and refugee families. You can appreciate the challenges faced by these new arrivals who only seek a "hand up", not a "hand-out" in order to become self-sufficient Charlotte citizens. >>> Read More
