President's Message

Officer and Director Announcements:

A very special thank you to our outgoing officers and directors this year. Leigh Ann Fore, Secretary; Rose Cassidy, Treasurer; Directors Shannan Webb, Pat McKamey and Susan Hall. Their service on the Board has been invaluable to WOGA and we are most appreciative. Leigh Ann Fore will remain on the board as our Membership Chair and Pat McKamey will continue to be our Rules Chair. Susan Hall resigned from the Board to accept a paid position to run our Tournament Computer Program.

Incoming officers are Linda Cohlmia of Tulsa who is our Secretary-Elect and Laurie Campbell of Broken Arrow is our Treasurer-Elect. Linda has been very involved in the organization of the NCAA Women's Golf Championship at Tulsa Country Club recently and also is heading up volunteers for the US Girls' Junior Championship. Laurie has been very active with the Indian Springs WGA as a former President and is a course rater for WOGA as well. We look forward to their service, enthusiasm and expertise.

 2014 Review

2014 was a very successful year for WOGA. Thank you to our donors, participants, volunteers and members who made it all possible. Your Board of Directors have been very busy this year. In addition to conducting 10 championships, tournaments and events WOGA secured office space, storage and a central mailing address. WOGA developed an extensive fundraising plan, revised and approved By-Laws, updated data-base information and increased communication strategy by adding monthly newsletters. In addition WOGA has rated many courses this year, had a very successful fundraiser for our Junior Programs and contracted with Blue Tone Media in North Carolina to update and make improvements to our website that will be online soon. WOGA also became the 501 c3 organization to facilitate the funding for the US Girls' Junior Championship in 2015, WOGA established an LPGA-USGA Girl's Golf Chapter in Tulsa to support the grass roots initiative of growing girl's golf in Oklahoma, WOGA awarded Scholarships and Grants, assisted with High School State Championships, updated our Tournament and Membership Software Program with full credit card integration, were represented at the Women's Golf Alliance WARM conference in Phoenix, created a WOGA Promo Video at the beginning of the year and created a WOGA Year End Video. In addition WOGA will be offering a Photo and Results Book for purchase in a few weeks covering all of our events for 2014. This will also serve as another tool for preserving our history year after year.

The WOGA Board of Directors are anxious to celebrate the Centennial with all of you and move our organization into a new Century of promoting Womens and Girl's Golf in Oklahoma.

Thank you for your continued support,

My Very Best,

Sheila Dills, President
