The best part? Selah Freedom will be a featured organization and presented to the masses that will be in attendance. Come out for a fantastic night and to show your support!

Bradenton Bust Leads to 43 Men Arrested
A week-long sting operation in Bradenton, FL has led to the arrest of 43 men. These men had allegedly been seeking sex with a child. Operation Green Shepherd, an online sting in which officers posed as children or parents, led to the arrests.
Men that the undercover officers had been communicating with online went to a house, looking to purchase sex with a minor, but the Manatee County Sheriff's Office was waiting for them. Those arrested were between the ages of 18-68 years old. Officer Steube stated, "I'll just say without using explicit words, it's kind of like the prostitution sting we do out on the street, what kind of sex act are you looking for and what are you willing to do for it."
This horrific case has shed light on the fact that human trafficking and soliciting sex from minors is a significant crime taking place in our hometowns. We applaud the Manatee County Sheriff's Office for the action they have taken against these criminals. Unfortunately, though, there are many more that have yet to be brought to justice. Wellspring Living Now Mentoring Selah Freedom
Selah Freedom has been attending numerous conferences and seminars over the past 2 years, and consistently there have been 2 highly regarded organizations that have been highlighted by law enforcement and rescue agencies. These have been suggested as healthy and sustainable models to align with and model after, as many homes have opened quickly and failed.
One of those organizations is Wellspring Living in Georgia. They have been offering safe housing and restoration to human trafficking victims for 11 years and have a success rate of over 75% .
We are grateful and proud to announce that Selah is the only organization who has been accepted into their mentorship program in 2012. Through this mentorship program, Wellspring has shared all of their guidelines, procedures and programming with Selah. As well as their volunteer model, which will enable Selah to fully maximize all interested volunteers. Another testament that taking the time and building a strong foundation for a healthy organization pays dividends!

A Call to Action -
What You Can Do!
As supporters of Selah Freedom, we know that many are driven to become active in the fight against human trafficking. One of the ways we can all come together, is by contacting those in the political realm in order to change laws in favor of human trafficking victims.
This has never been easier. The TVPA has created a script that you can call your local senator's office and read. Simply reading this script to those in authority can aid law enforcement as they prosecute traffickers, prevent trafficking, and protect victims. Simply use the following outline, and you can be a part of the change:

"Hello, I am a voter and a constituent. I am urging Senator ________ to pass the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act, S. 1301. This bill protects all victims of human trafficking and has also created new law enforcement tools to strengthen the prosecution and punishment of traffickers. TVPA is the largest piece of anti-trafficking legislation in U.S. history and victims deserve the protection it grants. Again, please tell Senator________ to pass the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act. Thank you."
