- Navigating technology and the 21st century landscape
Tricia Ferrara, M.A. is a licensed professional counselor and parenting strategist who has helped individuals navigate their lives with grace and truth for more than 15 years. Prescription Drug Panel Discussion - is airing on T/E TV
|
On February 18, 2015, ARCH hosted "Prescription Drug & Medicine Abuse: What every parent should know about the LEGAL DRUGS that kids abuse."
You can watch the program on T/ETV - Comcast channel #14 or Verizon #20 - weekdays at 4:30pm, weekends at 8:30am. Consult the T/E TV schedule for more show days/times.
The goal of the event was to explain the problem, its prevalence among youth in our community, common scenarios of access, as well as warning signs of misuse/abuse. The comprehensive panel shared insights on specific aspects of the problem. The panel included: Carl Antisell, Minding Your Mind; Mike Baskin, Berwyn Fire EMS Captain; Anthony Giaimo, Tredyffrin Police Superintendent; Matt Luckman, Pharmacist in Paoli; Dr. Lee Durst-Roisman, DMD; Eric Tankel, MS Ed., Adolescent Advocates. Kim Rubenstein, Executive Director of Be a Part of the Conversation, moderated the discussion. This PSA is being distributed by the District Attorney Office of Bucks County. This is a real life example of how prescription drugs can lead to addiction. The YouTube video is entitled, "Heroin Kills" and it started with a tooth ache.
