This event is intended to raise awareness of how teen alcohol and drug use can lead to addiction. The panel will consist of young adults from our community who are in recovery as well as parents from our community who have a child in recovery.  All will all share their experiences with addiction.

The Language of Eating Disorders

 

This workshop will help parents to understand the nature of eating disorders and how they serve the person in ways other than just nutrition. Parents may have an opportunity to hear from a young adult or a parent who has experience with treatment and recovery. Speaker: Jill Crawford, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker specializing in adolescent and family therapy. Jill has specialized training in eating disorders and has worked with numerous teens and families with a range of eating disorder issues.

 

The Terry Muzzy Foundation hosts seminars on topics related to challenges often faced by parents during the teen years. They are held at the East Brandywine Twp Bldg.  Link to a flyer
