January 2014

Happy New Year!

We're excited to kick off another season of veterinary news and advice, and we hope you're excited to keep reading...

Resolutions are always front and center in January. If you're like us, you're vowing to focus on health by eating more vegetables, drinking more water, or simply working toward a more positive mental attitude.

While you're mapping your own good habits, don't forget to plan a healthy regimen for your pet. Start by reviewing our preventative care plans, designed for dogs and cats of different ages. By staying current on your pet's needs, you're whole family can enjoy a happier, healthier 2014.

All the best,

We Came, We Swam, We Froze

For the 5th year in a row, Team BBVA welcomed January 1st with a "polar plunge" into Onset Bay. And we still can't feel our toes...  In addition to bragging rights, our participation generated funds for the Box 5 Association-a non-profit group that supports our local fire department. Thanks to everyone who joined us or offered a donation at our reception desk. Happy New Year!

Observing Pet Health in January

The AVMA recognizes January as both National Train Your Dog Month and Walk Your Pet Month. Training, socializing, and regular exercise are all key priorities to keep in mind - especially if you're welcoming a new pet into your family this year.  January 2nd is also National Pet Travel Safety Day. Did you play it safe while visiting relatives over the holidays? Be sure to contact your airline about flying guidelines before your next trip.
