The Jefferson Parish School Board held its regular monthly
Board Meeting on Thursday, July 7, 2016, in the JPPSS Administration Building, 501 Manhattan Blvd., Harvey.

Discussed proposals made by Board Members previously and took action as indicated

Declare Rillieux School site as surplus property

Deferred on a 6-2 vote the proposal until the August JPSB meeting

Delay allows vetting through the Facilities Committee, which plans to meet on July 21st

Staff reported ample space exists in area schools to handle 20-year enrollment projections without reopening the campus
