RSD Finance Issues
  • RSD Contracts and Leases of $ 50,000 and over
      • N-Y Associates - adjustment in architectural & engineering fees for refurbishment and asbestos abatement at Allen ES - $60,765
      • N-Y Associates - adjustment in architectural & engineering fees for refurbishment of Schaumburg ES - $8,432
      • N-Y Associates - adjustment in architectural & engineering fees and extra environmental engineering at S. Williams ES - $20,542
      • Professional Service Industries - additional soil testing at A. Alexander ES site - $17,495
      • NOCCA Institute - Tenant build-outs for leased office space to house therapeutic day program for students - $41,241
    • The Committee approved the proposed items
    • The Committee received the report
    • A number of ribbon-cuttings are coming up for newly completed projects
    • All Master Plan projects are projected for completion by 2018
RSD Management Issues
  • RSD 10-year performance report
    • Report highlights progress from past ten years and priorities for the future
    • Some Committee members expressed an interest in changing the name of RSD to reflect its mission being transitioned beyond just "recovery"
    • One retired teacher spoke with compliments of teachers' and school leaders' work but questioned the definitions and statistical presentations by RSD
