The two remaining candidates for OPSB Superintendent - Dr. Henderson Lewis Jr. and Dr. Debbra Lindo - will be brought back for final interviews and a public reception on
Wednesday, January 14. The public announcement can be read
here.
OPSB will meet in Executive Session with the two candidates during the afternoon of January 14.
The public reception will be held at the new Alice M. Harte Charter School located at 5300 Berkley Drive in Algiers,
beginning at 5:30 p.m. It will feature brief presentations by both candidates, questions from school board members, and a "meet and greet" session during which the public can speak one-on-one with the candidates.
Each candidate will appear separately at the reception. Dr. Lewis will meet with the community from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. Dr. Lindo will meet the community from 7:15 p.m. - 8:45 p.m.
Citizens who attend will also have the opportunity to complete a Community Input Form that the Board will review prior to any final selection.
The School Board could make a final selection later this month. The election of the superintendent requires the affirmative vote of at least five Board members.
