The Orleans Parish School Board will hold a Public Hearing on Policy Matters, followed by its monthly Board Business Meeting, beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, in the Auditorium of the McDonogh 35 High School, 1331 Kerlerec Street.
The Public Hearing is to receive public comment on proposed amendments to three existing OPSB policies, which can be reviewed here. - Policy E500 - Facilities, Capital and Maintenance Management
- Deletes a section not needed because it is replicated in another policy
- Policy KF1000 - Use of School Facilities
- Provides parameters and conditions for school use, particularly regarding alcohol and tobacco on OPSB property
- Policy 530 - Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program
