The Orleans Parish School Board held a Public Hearing and a Committee of the Whole Meeting on Monday, September 16. The Board will also hold its regular Monthly Business Meeting on Tuesday, September 17, at 5:00 p.m. The venue for all of these events is the Auditorium of McDonogh 35 High School, 1331 Kerlerec Street.

      • Independent evaluation was "deny"
      • Applicant believes the evaluation process was flawed
      • Stressed its experience
      • Said evaluation did not conduct sufficient "due diligence" about New Orleans and its needs
    • The Learning Lab
      • Proposed Grades 6 to 12 school for 450 students co-ed

    • Cypress Academy

    • Committee members stressed cooperative nature of their work
      • Believed that any of the four finalists would do a good job for Board
      • Included DBE participation in rating firms - all firms have diversity
