The Orleans Parish School Board will hold a Retreat on Thursday, April 4, and Friday, April 5, at the Omni Hotel Houston in Houston, Texas. The retreat agenda can be read

The activity will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with an Opening Dinner and Speaker. It is scheduled to resume with breakfast at 7:30 a.m. the following morning and adjourn around 4:15 p.m.
The Board's announced goals for the retreat include:
- To improve the efficiency and effectiveness of meetings in order to minimize meeting time and to maximize the percentage of time spent focusing on student achievement
- To improve policies and practices regarding the use of committees.
