GRACE ACADEMY OF DALLAS E-NEWS | November 27th, 2012 |
New Security Measures
Grace Academy is now under the watchful eye of 5 security cameras. Remote Monitoring Technologies and Grace Bible Church partnered with the school for this security system installation. This live video stream will be recorded and and monitored 24 hours a day. The next phase is a new front door with special access. This will allow upgraded security access for families to enter the building. Stay tuned for more details on these new security measures.

Student Council Food Drive 
Help us reach out to a local Hispanic apartment community near Bachman Lake. Hidalgo Ministry is providing food and other resources in the name of Christ.
The food drive begins today and runs through December 10th. We're asking each grade to contribute a different food item:
K3 - canned green beans, soup
K4 - canned corn, soup
K5 - peanut butter and jelly
1st /2nd - sacks of beans and rice, cans of soup
3rd - canned tuna & chicken
4th - "Maseca" tortilla flour
5th/6th - cooking oil (corn), cans of soup

Christmas Concert 
Enjoy the gift of music this holiday season. Grace Academy students will present a Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 13th at 7:00pm in the sanctuary. Mark your calendars now for this all school event!
What to wear:
K3-K5: Christmas Best
1st-6th: Solid red, white or black colors.
This can be a dress, skirt or pants.
No jeans or shorts.

 Faculty Christmas Purse
In the season of giving, we are reminded of all the things Christ has sacrificed for us. Here at Grace, those reminders are taught all year long. Our children are placed in the hands of our loving faculty at Grace Academy and it is our time to show them our gratitude. The faculty and staff at Grace wipe tears, give hugs, offer encouragement, solve problems and teach our children how to walk a righteous path with God. It is my holiday wish for 100% of families to donate to the Christmas purse so every faculty member enjoys a little holiday cheer from all of us. Please look for an envelope in your child's Monday folder to return your check. This Christmas bonus takes the place of a material gift, so no need to go shopping, just drop a few dollars in the bonus box that is in the front office.

Health Screenings
Park Cities Speech, Language & Learning Center will be on campus screening for hearing, vision, speech and scoliosis on December 4th and December 5th. If you would like your child tested, please dowload and complete the permission form then return it to the school's front office by November  29th.
SCREENINGS
Hearing/Vision: K4, 1st, 3rd, 5th & new students
Speech(Optional): K4, K5, 1st & new students
Scoliosis: 6th
