Be a traveler, not a tourist. Meet new people and look beyond what's right in front of you. Those are the keys to understanding this amazing world we live in.

Greetings!
I just returned from TAP Dance in Norfolk, VA, one of many annual travel industry gatherings, but without a doubt the most innovative. I spent the week meeting with my travel partners to learn about (and begin working on other) exciting new adventures to offer you in the coming year. We'll be rolling out new offerings starting with our very next newsletter.

Last Call: Lewis & Clark Trail
August 2-17, 2013
Soon we'll be heading out on the trail again, but unlike the men of the Corps of Discovery we won't have to row (or pole, or cordell) and upstream yet! The adventure of a lifetime awaits those lucky few who will be retracing the route from St. Louis to the Pacific. Don't miss out! Bookings close July 2 for this very special adventure.

Supplier Spotlight
Fort Clatsop, at the end of the Lewis & Clark Trail, is just one of the many significant and awesome stops on our journey between St. Louis and the Pacific. This site does a great job of interpreting the history that happened here during the miserable winter of 1805-1806 through films, interpretive exhibits and living history. To learn more.

Insider News
Last month I was asked to share my perspectives on the latest trends in the travel and tourism industry as a monthly contributor to ABA's Insider online news. The first article, "The Economics of Tourism" appeared on May 20. This is a little different assignment for me but I enjoy a challenge so we'll see what I come up with in the months to come!
