Metropolitan Energy Center
TO: EWKC/HPwES Auditors

As of this week's revised budget, $23,087 are available for EWKC performance rebates and analyst bonuses.  Funds will be expended on a first-come-first-serve basis, as applications are approved.  Applications, based on completed work, will be accepted until July 31, 2013, as long as funds remain available.  MEC will provide weekly EWKC rebate balance email updates until the funds are expended, as new information is known.

Applications are being processed in the order they were submitted, based on a date and time stamp.  Please reiterate to your customers who have submitted projects that funds for this program are limited, and will be expended on a first-come-first-serve basis, as applications are approved.

As you may be aware, EnergyWorks KC added the performance rebate option as an incentive to participate in the EWKC program.  The rebate budget was later increased to $1.5 million and then to $2.7 million, based on the great interest by contractors and customers in improving the energy efficiency of Kansas City homes and businesses.  This one-time offer generated a tremendous amount of interest, especially as budgeted funds grew more limited.

MEC is working to equitably process applications for the remaining funds that are available through the EWKC performance rebate and contractor incentive budget.

Please encourage your customers to consider financing their energy efficiency project with low-interest rates through EWKC.
