Teen Physical Teen Challenge Purple
Activity Grant Submissions

Recreation NL would like you to start thinking about ways to enhance your current teen programs/events or think about new teen programs/events that you would like to implement in the fall. Applications are now being accepted for activities happening in the fall 2015. 
This round of grants will be giving priority to program/events that are linked with Sports Day in Canada on November 21, 2015.
Applications are dueFriday, August 21, 2015.

RBC Sports Day in Canada, presented by ParticipACTION, CBC and True Sport, is a national celebration of the power of sport to build community and get Canadians moving! The sixth annual event will take place on Saturday, November 21st in communities from coast to coast to coast in celebration of the Year of Sport.Get your community, club, school, organization or group involved by hosting a sporting event between November 14 and 21. 


Enter the Sport Moves Us contest by registering your event by September 4th and sharing how the power of sport is at work in your community! Your community could be featured on CBC's national broadcast of RBC Sports Day in Canada and receive a $2,000 grant from ParticipACTION to help enhance your event.

 

All events registered by October 16th will receive a FREE event celebration kit with posters and fun promotional items that can be used at your event (while supplies last) and will appear on the in-show ticker during CBC's national broadcast of RBC Sports Day in Canada.

Physical Activity Report Card 

The ParticipACTION Report Card on Physical Activity for Children and Youth is the most comprehensive assessment of child and youth physical activity in Canada. The 2015 report was released on June 9th. It gives Canada's Youth a D- for Overall Physical Activity Levels.
