Casting for a post-apocalyptic short horror film about the depths we will sink to in order to survive, and the consequences of losing our humanity. A character driven story with mature themes. The great thing about this approach is that even though everyone begins the approach from the beginning, each artist is on their own path and you can work at your level. OVERVIEW At Truthful Acting, we wholeheartedly believe in the words of Sanford Meisner when he said, "Who you truly are is magnificent and totally unique." Through this program of study, we will guide you in discovering your own unique perspective and assist you in becoming more present, authentic and responsive to the world around you. We will work toward becoming the full expression of everything that is happening as it is happening. Utilizing a series of progressive exercises, you will learn to trust your instincts and live truthfully under imaginary circumstances.
Classes begin May 7th and will be held twice a week on Tuesday and Friday with daytime or nighttime classes available.

MetFilms Entertainment is a new, family-run, production company in the Ormond Beach/Daytona Beach
Area and is currently in pre-production of their independent film, BOUND.
We will be holding an open casting call at the DAYTONA BEACH MOOSE LODGE FAMILY CENTER, 601
Granada Boulevard, Ormond Beach, FL 32174, on MAY 21st & 22nd. Call times are 11 am and 5:30pm

"Screwed" is a comedy that addresses serious human relationship
issues. A couple go to an IVF clinic to have the wife inseminated. The
wife is desperate to conceive and she is full of hormones (nuts), but
her husband is less enthusiastic/driven. The wife cooks up a plan to
make sure her husband provides his seed. The outcome is not what you
expect.
Samantha - the wife, 25-35 is an ex cheerleader turned super nerd has
been married since her last year of college and is having trouble
getting pregnant. She is desperate and will do anything to make sure
she is impregnated immediately. She tries to help her husband to help
her, with unexpected results.
Nick - the husband, 25-35 loves his wife but does not share her
desperate need to conceive. He is having a performance anxiety issue
that his wife tries to resolve on the fly, but just when things seem
to be going her way there is an unexpected twist.
Nurse Jennifer - 25-45, by the book nurse with a smidge of compassion
that may help her patients even at the risk of her job.
Security Guard - 25-50, way to intense about his/her job in a comical
way.

We are looking for three actors (two males and one female) to
work on a series of TV commercials for a local auto dealer in Miami.
The commercials will feature a celebrity ex football player.
We need actors with a comedic timing, we will film a series of funny
situations in which one of the actors is the evil salesman of a bad
car dealer and the other two are a couple who is about to get screwed,
the celebrity talent will come and save the situation.
We need actors who can do funny expressions and great body language,
if you are a serious actor who doesnt feel comfortable doing comedy
this is definitely not the gig for you.
The shoot will be next Wednesday May 22, from 10 to 4pm (we will

The A C T course includes training in: � Making strong acting choices � Film auditioning techniques � Dynamic scene work � How to heat up a cold read � Essential on-camera skills � Mastering monologues A C T is an 8-week course designed for adults and older teens which teaches the process of making strong, creative acting choices quickly and the technical skills necessary for success in film acting. You will work ON-CAMERA every class and receive individualized critique. Shauna Bartel began acting professionally in Hollywood, CA in the mid-80's. With over 100 film, commercial and industrial credits as well as an extensive background in teaching and directing, Shauna opened The CAST Studio in 2004 and has since taught hundreds of students how to bring together the actor's creative process with the technical skills required for on-camera work to give them the crucial edge in this competitive field.

This hilarious family comedy, by the author of "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change," follows Nick who tries to tell his doting Grandparents that he is moving to pursue his life away from "home."

ACTING WORKSHOP How to Make An Authentic & Lasting Impression On Purpose Productions is hosting a Casting Workshop for Actors at Full Sail University with "Sopranos" star David Proval DATE: April 26 & 27 FOR: Actors ages 13+ LOCATION: Full Sail University TUITION: $185.00 TIME: 2 Workshop times are being offered: Friday 4/26 4pm-8pm OR Saturday 4/27 10:30am-2:30pm STUDENT CRITERIA: All students attending this workshop must consider themselves to be a "dedicated" actor. All levels of experience are welcome. This workshop is ideal for the actor who is interested in Film & TV. This is not a commercial workshop. Limited spaces! Register by March 18th! WORKSHOP INFO: Learn what decision-makers (producers and casting) are looking for when you audition. And then learn how to take your craft to a deeper level by challenging yourself and receiving feedback from a seasoned pro. Actors will be provided with sides 1 day prior to the Workshop. Most frequently working as an Executive Producer, Stefanie also takes a strong interest in the casting of various projects. She cast the 2012 TV pilot "Shrink Rap" and is proud to say that nearly half of the cast came from workshops she facilitated. On Purpose Productions is slated to shoot another TV pilot and a feature film in 2013. DAVID PROVAL: David Proval launched his acting career with a starring role in Mean Streets (1973), directed by Martin Scorsese, and has been working nonstop ever since. Notable features in which he has appeared include The Phantom, The Brady Bunch Movie, Four Rooms, The Shawshank Redemption, and Miss Congeniality 2. He is perhaps most well-known for his recurring role on the hit TV series "The Sopranos." David is shooting 5 films in 2013. He has worked as Eddie Murphy's on-set acting coach amongst others.
