Duration: 15 weeks (30 total classes) Experience Level: No prior experience needed! This approach is for any artist, whether this is your very first acting class, or even if you've been in the industry for years. The great thing about this approach is that even though everyone begins the approach from the beginning, each artist is on their own path and you can work at your level. OVERVIEW At Truthful Acting, we wholeheartedly believe in the words of Sanford Meisner when he said, "Who you truly are is magnificent and totally unique." Through this program of study, we will guide you in discovering your own unique perspective and assist you in becoming more present, authentic and responsive to the world around you. We will work toward becoming the full expression of everything that is happening as it is happening. Utilizing a series of progressive exercises, you will learn to trust your instincts and live truthfully under imaginary circumstances.
Classes begin May 7th and will be held twice a week on Tuesday and Friday with daytime or nighttime classes available.

Hi Nancy! Long time no see! I hope this email finds you in good spirits :)
I am currently producing a short film that is in need of roughly 10-12 child extras, 2 featured child extras, and a featured child actor, who can appear between the ages of 7-9. Our mutual friend Lindsay Garvin recommended I get in touch with you about this. The short is no-pay, and is coming up on the weekend of April 27/28. The content of the script (which I have attached for reference) is PG-level material. It's a cute faux-documentary about the phenomenon of butterflies in the stomach when humans experience attraction to one another, but presupposing the butterflies physically exist as their own species.
We would need the extras to play on a playground for a few hours on a Saturday morning (4/27). The featured actor needs to resemble a pre-cast "adult version" of himself, and will deliver a small handful of short lines to the camera. He would be on the playground and in the character's bedroom. The featured extras have a short exchange on the playground. A boy will play a class bully type, who is approached by the protagonist's crush, the other featured extra. They have no scripted lines.
All extras and their respective guardians will be fed lunch during the shoot.
The shoot itself is self-funded, will be insured, and the crew is made of experienced young professionals. It's a true grass-roots passion project, and the aim for quality and festival exposure is high.
We are currently in the process of booking an audition space at Full Sail for this coming Saturday and Sunday, and will likely have it locked by tomorrow. Is there a possibility that I could get your help signal boosting this audition? Do you have any advice for other resources we could try to tap in a pinch, or personal recommendations?
The director of this project is Marc Casilli (if interested, here is his professional blog: http://marccasilli.wordpress.com/ ). He's a seasoned up-and-comer who has a feature under his belt from UCF's MFA program, and several high-profile shorts that have screened around the world.
