Videographer/Photographer/Editor (Palm Beach Gardens,
FL)
Description: We're a financial planning and estate
planning law and advisory firm in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. We're
looking to establish a long-term relationship with a film student,
alumni, or working freelance videographer, photographer, and editor to
firm our events and other promotional materials, edit, and produce a
finished product. We're interested in promoting videos for the web, to
loop in our office flat screens, and possibly for other distribution
channels. We have events regularly happening on the second and fourth
week of every month, and random events and speaking engagements in
between that we would like filmed, so if selected, we'll expect you to
begin working immediately!
This is a
job that is paid on a per-contract (per day) basis and we will use
your talent as needed. We estimate we'll need you to dedicate at least
20 hours a month to filming, editing, and producing a finished
product we can use. Pay will be based on your experience, talent,
commitment and motivation.
This is a great
opportunity for a student or newly experienced freelancer to earn
cash, experience, and to begin compiling a professional film reel.
We're less interested in a highly-qualified, highly-paid union-type
videographer or camera man, as our budget wouldn't be there. However,
if that's you, please don't feel discouraged to
apply.
Minimum
Qualifications:
You must have access to your own
film equipment, including the cameras, tripods, and editing
software
You must be punctual in attendance at our
scheduled events, in producing and delivering the work, and dress in
conservative business casual attire when in front of clients and
prospective clients
We'll also require you to have at
least a few produced examples of your work that you can submit for
review
Preferred
Qualifications:
We expect you to be creative and
self-directed; we want you to bring new ideas to the table for what to
film, how to distribute and promote the work we create
together
Have at least one year in your program if you're
a student, or if alumni, at least 1-2 years of experience in the
field, or if none of those can be met, a strong portfolio of work
you've created (in other words, a hobbyist is welcome to apply if you
can demonstrate skills, creativity, and
motivation)
Application
Instructions:
Please simply send a link to your website or
to your YouTube channel featuring your video reel or at the very
least, examples of your work that you've done, or if you have a DVD,
email us first for directions to our office, at which point I'll
welcome you to drop off samples. Prepare to be interviewed on the
spot. Please also send a resume if applicable. Please DO NOT send a
file of a video to me, either compressed of otherwise, as it will not
be opened nor downloaded. Finally, please include some language
regarding a pay range you would expect per day, per hour, or per
contract - whichever you prefer).
Please send
all of this using the email link published here. We'll get back to you
immediately if you're selected as we have events that may need to be
filmed this week. Thank you!
Location: Palm Beach Gardens,
FL
Compensation: At least $10-$20 an hour or $100/day, TBD
on experience and other factors
