Have you ever wondered about how to put colours together? Would you like to learn to create a dynamic colour scheme that is both pleasing and personal? Whether it's how to choose paint for your home or update your wardrobe, colour choices are by their very nature, subjective.

Our resident colour expert, Xane St Phillip will teach you how to create a gratifying colour palette by working with paper swatches and responding to personal decisions based on what are often instant and intuitive likes. Once you have developed a palette, the instructor will guide you throughadding neutrals and complementary colours to create a colour scheme that is both dynamic and visually pleasing.

Weaving takes time and tools, but in this workshop you will learn what can be done with a few found materials and a selection of wires. Using pins, wools, wires, cloth and other weavable materials, you will create a small scale art piece. Through the careful selection of materials and a focus on harmonies and contrasts in pattern, texture, and line you will construct a two-dimensional art piece with three-dimensional possibilities. This workshop will consider the boundaries between two- and three-dimensional design and between textiles and abstract picture making.
