13th Annual Ag Leadership Institute
Carolina Farm Credit recently held its 13th annual Agricultural Leadership Institute in Asheville, NC at the Inn on Biltmore Estate. This educational conference brings together and celebrates young, beginning, small and minority farmers. This year's 29 participants were couples or individuals from farms across Carolina Farm Credit's territory and were selected for their leadership and achievements.
The dynamic and interactive three day seminar was led by Dr. David Kohl, professor emeritus at Virginia Tech and professional speaker and Dr. Alex White, financial advisor and former Virginia Tech Professor in the Department of Agriculture and Applied Economics.

2013 Co-Op Camp Cooperative Leadership Camp is an exciting youth opportunity
sponsored by the Cooperative Council of North Carolina. Carolina Farm Credit will sponsor two students to attend this year's camp that will take place June 17 - 21 in White Lake, NC.
Participants will be chosen using a short essay contest. The contest is open to high school freshmen (must be 15 years old at the time of camp), sophomores and juniors who fall into one of these categories: FFA and 4-H members or children of Carolina Farm Credit members.
