The start of fishing season...

The 2015 season starts with very active fishing. Here are the biggest of each species caught so far:

northern pike: Steve Donley (Geneva, IL), 39 ½ inches (pictured above)

walleye: Cullen Hurley (Edina, MN), 26 ½ inches

crappie: Jason Webber (Colorado Springs, CO), 14 inches

smallmouth bass: both Dixie Boring (Brainerd, MN) and Phil Diederich (Darien, IL), each with an 18 1/2 inch bass
