Let's go fishing...

It seemed like winter would never end, but the ice is almost gone (click here to see a picture of it) and we're moving to the island in a few day.

In addition to all of last years' great staff, below meet two new people who will be helping to taking care of you.

If you are considering an early season trip, click here to see what we have available in May and June; there is a greater selection of dates in July, August and September.

Happy fishing!

Meet Shellie...

Shellie Shellie grew up on a dairy farm, close to Lake of the Woods, and about 12 years ago moved to Manitoba.  Several years ago, she and her husband bought a cottage on an island near Morson.  They've spent the past three winters living on the island and renovating the cottage as a future retirement home.

Shellie loves fishing, wildlife, photography and spending time with friends and family at the cabin.  Her three children, 2 boys and a girl, all live in different provinces.  This summer will be her first time working at a lodge and she says she is looking forward to a new and exciting experience.

Meet Heidi...

Heidi is high-energy!  She worked the past year as an assistant in a pharmacy, at a grocery store and also tutoring a student in math.

She is going back to school in the fall in Toronto to become a Pharmacy Technician. Her interests are math and insects and she loves anything she can do outdoors - swimming, cycling, kayaking and playing ball.

Heidi worked at Duck Bay in 2012, and we are thrilled she is back with us for 2014!
