October Trivia Question:

More than 760 million people around the world lack access to a clean water source.  Women and children are tasked with walking long distances to collect and carry home water from swamps, rivers, and farmers' fields, the same water used for bathing, where livestock drink, and canals are open to human waste and garbage.
 

But Water of Life is intent on changing the world, one village at a time.  An evangelical nonprofit here in Greenville, SC, Water of Life drills fresh, clean water wells for communities without a clean water source.  And every village that gets a new well will hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ, usually for the first time.

Using indigenous pastors and well-drilling crews, bringing a community a fresh water source opens the door for sharing the Gospel in these Hindu, Muslim, and traditional religion villages.  Pastors will visit door-to-door, show the Jesus Film in a variety of tribal languages, and often establish a church at each and every village Water of Life has reached.


 

Nearly 200,000 people were directly impacted with fresh water and the Gospel last year thanks to more than 283 water projects, and 2015 is turning out to be an even bigger year for Water of Life.  Funded by  donations from individuals, churches, and a few local businesses, Water of Life is currently drilling 4 wells a month in Sierra Leone, West Africa, just sent over a third drill rig to Liberia to increase drilling to 11 wells a month, and just increased efforts in India to 12 wells a month!  Together, we're not just saving lives, we're impacting eternity for the sake of the Gospel.  You can learn more and get involved at www.givefreshwater.org.
