Employee Focus

This month we would like to wish a warm welcome

to our newest Service Technician Kyle Gray. Kyle has over 19 years of experience in the industry. He has worked with copiers, fax machines and printers from analog to digital technology. We asked Kyle what his thoughts were on how copiers have progressed over the years. "Technology has taken over and copiers these days do not require a lot of maintenance like they used to. They are connected to networks now more than ever. They are not stand alone machines anymore, they are integrated into work environments to help with general

office tasks."

We asked Kyle what he likes about Plus, " I like the family environment here and how kind everyone is." Kyle has lived in the Piedmont, SC area for 17 years and is married with 3 children. He loves spending time with them every chance he gets. His favorite past time is working in his yard. We are happy to have you on our team Kyle!

This month we are happy to highlight United Way of the

Piedmont in Spartanburg, SC. Plus Incorporated partners with

the United Way of the Piedmont in handling their copier fleet.

In July of 2015, United Way of the Piedmont was delighted to continue the annual tradition of hosting a school supply drive to benefit students in our three-county footprint - Spartanburg, Cherokee & Union, South Carolina. In this region of the state, upwards of 20% of children are living in poverty. In order to support these families and ensure that children are prepared to learn on their first day of school, United Way engaged corporate and community partners to host supply collections.

A culminating event, "Stuff the Bus", was held in partnership with local WalMart locations and   several non-profit partners,Spartanburg School District 7 and Union County YMCA. Each community was challenged with filling the school bus, which is parked in front of WalMart, with school supplies. United Way of the Piedmont is always so thankful and pleased with each community's generosity - several thousand dollars worth of school supplies were donated during this event!

United Way of the Piedmont's Senior Director of Engagement, Molly Moyer, coordinates the annual delivery of donations to several partners, Union County YMCA and Spartanburg County Public School Districts. McKinney-Vento liaison's from Spartanburg County school districts report that the supplies make a tremendous difference in the lives of their students who have such great need.
