Buying Local
As a local business, we urge our customers and employees to patronize local businesses here in the upstate. At Plus Inc. alone, we rely on local businesses to help run our day to day operations here in Greenville and in turn those businesses rely on us to help with their daily operations. For us that means we house parts and supplies in a warehouse at our office. If a customer is down without toner, we have the ability to deliver it the same day to get them up and running versus having to wait for toner to be shipped from out of state in 2 to 3 business days. In our business, most all your parts and supplies are kept here in our Greenville warehouse. We take your service calls in our office with a local staff. We bank and use local companies for many things such as accounting and insurance. Whereas many of our competitors, which are branch offices, only have limited local sales and service staff. Supply orders, service calls and money is handled out of state by these companies. On a regular basis, you see ads and articles encouraging you to buy local. A recent landmark study showed that when you purchase local an average of $45.00 of every $100.00 stays local. Where if you shopped big chain - non local companies only about $13.00 stayed local.
Why do we encourage shopping local? Buying local means more money stays in the community.
When local businesses are supported, it can cause a chain reaction of opportunities for other local businesses to hire a wide array of supporting local services. Such as architects, designers, cabinet shops, sign makers and contractors for construction. These opportunities cultivate local accountants, insurance brokers, attorneys, advertising agencies and others to help run it. Local retailers and distributors also carry a higher percentage of locally-made goods than the chains, creating more jobs for local producers.
Here at Plus Inc we are proud to say we are 100% local. We have 25 employees to handle all your calls, supply orders, invoicing and equipment needs. There are 5 active owners at Plus Inc. All of our owners and employees reside here in the upstate of Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson and Pickens areas. As always, we look forward to building personal relationships with all our customers. We care about our customers and thank you for shopping local with us.
