Team Spotlight--Darren Kreklow
Senior Field Technician
I started in the office machine business in an unusual way. I had been trained to work on Laundromat equipment out in Wyoming. Working in the Laundromat industry is how I met a man who owned a laundry business and an office machine business. After a short time, he chose me to train on cash register repair. With cash registers being the cleaner of the two jobs, I gladly worked hard at learning the new skill. Seven years later, when I moved to South Carolina, Plus Inc. hired me for my cash register repair skills. Within the first couple of years, I gradually transitioned into copier repair, and it's been, as they say out West, happy trails ever since!
I have been with Plus now for 18 years and have continued to upgrade and hone my skills. This company has been a great place to work and learn, but also over the years as friendships have been made with co-workers, we have gone on excursions such as deep sea fishing trips and playing captain's choice golf. It's easy to work for a place whose owners care so much for their employees and clientele.
I look forward to many more years of serving and enjoying the Upstate! |
Message from the President-David Carson
Sustainability! Go Green! These are words you hear more and more every day. At Plus Inc., we have participated in recycling efforts for many years. We truly believe in recycling everything we can. We have a separate paper/cardboard dumpster that we will fill up once a week. We internally have stations all around our facility with recycling bins for paper, plastic and glass. Just recently, we set up a bin for metal recycling.
For many years, we have participated in free pick up of our customers' printer and copier trade-ins and sent them in for recycling. We offer free pick up and recycling of toner cartridges for our customers. Also, our manufacturers, Konica Minolta and Ricoh, are very active in their efforts of sustainability in the bio-degradable components of their toners, power usage on all machines and recycling of machines and toner cartridges.
So GO GREEN! One thing we all feel great about here at Plus Inc. is helping out Planet Earth. Let us know how we can help you!
