DONATE A PAIR OF SHOES
through THE GIVING TREE...
Find the Giving Tree in the back of the Narthex and choose a name to whom you will donate a pair of sneakers, sandals, hiking or work boots. Drop off date will be Sunday, March 10 in the back of the Narthex. All shoes will be going to the Episcopal Church Center in Ocean Beach for the Maundy Thursday Foot Washing.
  ALSO KINDLY REQUESTING...for the Episcopal Church Center's 2nd Annual Foot Washing Event, Maundy Thursday, March 28, 2013: We have a wonderful opportunity to donate much needed PERSONAL CARE KITS for the 2nd Annual Maundy Thursday Foot Washing. The kits consist of: travel size shampoo, conditioner, wipes, toothbrush, toothpaste, hand lotion, mouthwash, deodorant and lip balm. These items can be brought to the church during the next few Sundays. A basket for drop-off will be provided in the Narthex. Thank you all in advance! Any Questions? SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE SUPPER...a huge success!

Thanks to all who joined in the fun on Shrove Tuesday. We had delicious pancakes, yummy syrup that was so good it kept disappearing from the plate and we, fortunately, had to keep soaking those pancakes with more syrup, and sausages! Pancake flipping races added to the festivities, MC'd by the talented Bill Cobb. Teams included the Hemi-Semi-Demi Quavers (Choir), the Flippin' Staff (Staff), Baby Cakes (Youth), the Preacher Seekers (Call Committee), Manly Panhandlers (Brotherhood), and the Guilders (Altar Guild). The Guilders won, and they have already named their team for next year's competition: The Altar Egos!

REMINDERS of UPCOMING EVENTS
STIRRED, NOT SHAKEN: THE WOMEN OF ALL SOULS' All women of the parish are invited to a morning of fellowship and enjoyment on Saturday, March 16, from 10:00 a.m. - 12 noon in Gooden Hall. We will begin with a reflection and then have a short video and discussion of the book One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp. It is available on Amazon or at the public library. Questions? Ask Rev. Martha or Rhonda Muir.
 FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN
The Children's Chapel team has created "My Little Lenten Booklet" for our children to participate in Lent in a meaningful way. Look for one arriving in the U.S. mail for your child(ren) in the next week and bring them on Easter Sunday with flowers for the cross.
ANNUAL BISHOP VISIT with BISHOP MATHES
Our annual visit from Bishop Mathes will occur on March 16-17. If you are interested in being baptized or confirmed in the Episcopal Church, please contact Merritt at the church office or at merrittgreenwood@gmail.com.

FRIENDLY REMINDERS
 FEBRUARY & MARCH OUTREACH OPP: KEEP THINKING PROTEIN
We have the opportunity to again support Loaves and Fishes Feeding Ministry in Ocean Beach. Their greatest need continues to be jars of peanut butter. The Preschool which rents space from All Souls' is joining our efforts! Collection baskets are in the Narthex and the Hospitality Room.
ALTAR FLOWERS, 2013 Please take time to sign up to place flowers on the altar either in thanksgiving for or in memory of a person or event. Suggested donation for flowers is $40. Checks may be placed in the offering basket or mailed to the church office. A sign-up form is on the back page of the Parish Directory. Thank you to those members who have already signed up!
FORWARD DAY by DAY meditation booklets are in for February-April, 2013
for $1 each. You will find them in the Hospitality Room.
 TUESDAY MORNING EUCHARIST
Breakfast will be served the first Tuesday of the month and donations received in thanksgiving for the breakfast provided. The remaining Tuesdays of each month, a collection basket will be in the Chapel for Loaves & Fishes contributions. Also, for February and March, bring peanut butter as Loaves & Fishes clients always need protein. Let's see how many pounds of protein we can deliver!
