Last month, the Department of Justice announced that BP agreed to plead guilty to felony manslaughter, environmental crimes and obstruction of Congress. These are very serious crimes that BP must have recognized that they could not likely successfully defend because of overwhelming evidence against them. The criminal settlement of $4 billion is huge and also fosters restitution to move forward, and so the deal may be a good outcome all things considered. |
New Canal Lighthouse Docent Program
LPBF is offering a Lighthouse Docent Training Program to prepare volunteers to serve as docents in the New Canal Lighthouse Museum. Interested parties must be able to commit to a minimum of one 3 and 1/2 hour shift per week. The museum's hours will be Thursday to Saturday from 10am-4pm. The training will begin in January. There will be two one hour sessions. It will introduce the volunteer to the lighthouse display collection and discuss the various facets detailed in the museum. Anyone interested in becoming a docent contact joann@saveourlake.org |
LPBF wishes you and yours a Happy Holiday Season.
Thanks for your support to Save Our Lake and Coast.
