"I have never dealt with a company that is more customer oriented than ENERGY worldnet. They made a seemingly daunting OQ transition easier than we could have ever imagined.

Then, as we were faced with a  challenging deadline of newly instated OSHA guidelines,

Geoff Isbell was right there to walk us though the process and was able to get us compliant in an amazingly short amount of time.
We recommend ENERGY worldnet to any company looking for an OQ or OSHA qualification provider."

"As a new user of the system, it is a very comforting feeling to know that I have support a phone call away. The professionalism displayed by the Energy World Net employees that I have dealt with, from Amanda Goll at the service desk to Jeremy Green coming to my facility for training, is to be commended. I look forward to building and maintaining a great working relationship for years to come."

Ending Oil Gushers - The Blowout Preventer

  aoghs.org

The image of James Dean celebrating in a rain of oil may  have been dramatic in 1956, but most oilfield gushers ended earlier. By the time  the movie "Giant" was made, the technology of well control and blowout  prevention had been in place more than 30  years.

Perhaps the most famous high-pressure blowout occurred  at Spindletop Hill near Beaumont, Texas. On January 10, 1901, a three-man crew  was drilling when a six-inch stream of oil and gas erupted 100 feet into the  air. This oilfield would prove to be among the largest and most significant for  a gasoline-hungry nation.

Patent records abound with inventors' efforts to find a  solution to controlling the underground pressure met when drilling. In 1922, it  took a Texas wildcatter's experience and ingenuity to invent a device designed  to stop gushers. Read the American Oil & Gas Historical Society  article

Green bridges generation gap in 'Today's Challenge, Tomorrow's Workforce' presentation

Jeremy Green, EWN's National Business Development Director, views 55 as an important statistic for the Oil and Gas Industry. Some consider retirement when they approach this age. In the near future, a void of experienced workers will emerge. As retirees leave the industry, a smaller number of workers will remain.

Mr. Green's presentation, "Today's Challenge, Tomorrow's Workforce" begins by explaining that 55% of our workforce is ready to retire, while only 15% are just beginning their careers. That 15% falls between the ages of 18 through 23. He then explains the issues that feed this statistic.

Three challenges are addressed in the presentation: an aging infrastructure, the aging workforce, and the need for experienced workers to pass on their wealth of knowledge. The aging infrastructure means we will have more maintenance and replacement work than ever before. To solve this problem, Mr. Green proposes that all generations must embrace technology and use it to their advantage. He believes it is important to pass on this knowledge to the next generation.

The presentation encompasses all ages working in the natural gas industry. Mr. Green stated, "When I present the attendees with these facts, they are very interested in working together to provide a solution." Potential retirees understand the importance of a qualified younger workforce , while newer employees are eager to learn and be mentored by experienced professionals .
