"Every time I contact anyone asking for assistance, no matter who takes the call they are very courteous, extremely helpful, and above all professional.

In today's world when it seems service lacks in so many areas, it is refreshing to find an organization (EWN) where it is still a top priority."

All Pumped Up - Oilfield Technology

Pump-Jack-AOGHS

In August 1859, Edwin L. Drake - the man credited with discovering America's first commercial oil well - used a common water well hand pump to retrieve the new resource from 69.5 feet. It wasn't long before necessity and ingenuity joined to find something more efficient for producing oil from a well.

Industry pioneers realized that by improving pumping efficiency they could extend the economic life of far deeper wells by years. The 1902 founding of a petroleum equipment service company in Lufkin, Texas, will lead to creation of an oil patch icon known by many names - nodding donkey, grasshopper, horse-head, thirsty bird, etc.

The evolution of technology for pumping oil from the ground is reflected in thousands of small, marginally producing oil wells reaching deep into often stubborn reserves. Today there are more than one-half million in the United States alone. Read the American Oil & Gas Historical Society article "All Pumped Up- Oilfield Technology."

Giving back to the Community!
WARM
ENERGY worldnet, Inc. is committed to giving back to their community and would like to highlight a very special organization located here in Decatur, TX. The Wise Area Relief Mission (WARM), which assists needy families located throughout Wise County. WARM is a joint civic ecumenical project that began in 1998 when the food pantry at the Central Church of Christ merged into an outreach for area churches. WARM's director Rene' Ashmore, who has been there for 10 years, oversees the day-to-day operations. Rene' along with her office manager Angie Gardiner successfully assists over 850 families each month.

With the helpful donation from ENERGY worldnet, Inc., WARM is trying to get a walk-in deep freezer along with a bigger cooler to help accommodate extra storage. WARM's mission is compassion and assistance by offering services to those with needs in Wise County in an effort to promote a productive, sharing community. ENERGY worldnet, Inc. would like to say "Thank You" to the Wise Area Relief Mission for providing continuing assistance to those in need.

We are also proud to spotlight companies like:

Coast to Coast Development Inc., who through volunteer work, is making a difference in their community. They graciously volunteer their time at their local children's hospital, located in Central California. The Children's Hospital of Central California provides comprehensive medical services to children.

Another organization making a big impact in their community is Hydrodig Denver LLC. They volunteer at the local Make-a-Wish foundation. The Make-a-Wish Foundation grants wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions.

If there is an organization, charity, or food bank where your company is involved, we would love to hear about your work so we can include it in our newsletter. michael.pendley@energyworldnet.com
The Next Generation of Natural Gas
Next Gen
What is the Next Generation of Natural Gas?

The Next Generation is an initiative that was started to promote awareness of a three-fold challenge that the pipeline and utility industry is currently facing. This involves an aging workforce and infrastructure, and increased regulations. According to surveys conducted by the Center for Energy Workforce Development, 62 percent of the industry could retire over the next 10 years. Our greatest resource, knowledge and experience, lies within these 62 percent. The torch of knowledge needs to be passed on, now more than ever.

The CRA International reported in 2009 that 60 percent of utility assets are near the end of their useful life, and 20 to 25 percent of utility assets are past their intended service life making an aging infrastructure the second-fold issue.

Finally, increased regulations such as the OQ rule, which is continuously updated proves to be challenging for workers qualifications.  For more information please contact Jeremy.Green@energyworldnet.com
