Riviera Utilities Cares About Health
Riviera Utilities, a longtime client of ENERGY worldnet, Inc., will be sponsoring a team of coworkers, family and friends to walk in the Alabama Gulf Coast Heart Walk in Baldwin County scheduled for October 5, 2013. It is a 3 mile walk that will take place at Heritage Park in Foley, Alabama.
Heart Walks are held in cities and towns across the country, led by Leadership Committees who involve more than 10,000 companies and almost 100,000 teams of fundraising walkers. Last year more than a million people walked and raised more than $100 million to fund lifesaving research and education efforts in the Heart Walk. The funds you raise in the Heart Walk will support projects like these:
- Putting up-to-the-minute research into doctors' hands so they can better prevent and treat heart disease among patients.
- Groundbreaking pediatric heart and stroke research. About 36,000 babies are born with heart defects each year. Research is the key to saving babies' lives.
- Getting life-saving information to those who need it most - information that can save a life, like how to eat better, how to recognize the warning signs of heart attack, and how to talk to a doctor about critical health choices.
Kevin Saucier is the Safety and Training Supervisor at Riviera Utilities and has been in the gas/utility industry for over 33 years and a client of ENERGY worldnet, Inc. for approximately 10 years. He has personally experienced some heart issues that were able to be corrected. Kevin feels that participating in the American Heart Association Heart Walk is a great opportunity to bring attention to the research and work that is being done in the treatment and prevention of heart disease in addition to promoting a healthy lifestyle. He goes on to say, "Anyone can be affected by heart disease, young or old and most everyone knows someone who has. The American Heart Association makes this a reality for a great number of people, the same family ,friends and co-workers that we see and interact with on a daily basis!"
Visit Kevin Saucier's personal web page and help him in his efforts to support the American Heart Association - Alabama Gulf Coast, Alabama.
