Greetings!
Autumn at Trainspotters sees the steady arrival of stock sourced on our recent adventures in Eastern Europe, as well as the arrival of a large haul of British industrial lighting removed from a demolished MOD facility in Stirling, Scotland.
The MOD job is exciting because both lights are unusual and sought after models that rarely come onto the
market these days, particularly in the large numbers that we have them.
At Trainspotters we put a lot of our time and effort into sourcing as large runs of lighting as we possibly can. This
means that we are often in a position to supply characterful reclaimed lighting in large quantity, meaning client's
can purchase from us and maintain the same look across multiple locations.
It is also much harder to source old lighting in large runs and we consider it a challenge...
So we got very excited when we discovered a huge haul of communist era glass and porcelain lights hidden
away at the back of a glass manufacturer's store rooms in Hungary.
The lights were still in the original boxes and are in pristine unused condition.
Some models have gone online today, others will follow over the coming weeks.
