Center for a New Generation Coming to BGCD!
At the May 2014 Boys & Girls Clubs of America national conference in San Francisco, BGCD President & CEO Charles English and senior leadership met with former Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice.  BGCD was selected by BGCA to administer the Center for a New Generation (CNG) program. CNG is a school-based program, founded by Dr. Rice, that allows BGCD to integrate the schools represented in the DISD feeder pattern and Uplift in an innovative academic and enrichment afterschool and summer program.  Through the engagement of elementary-aged youth in programs such as robotics, modern dance and debate, we can positively impact the development of key cognitive, social and personal competencies using a fun and hands-on approach.
