Starting your Vegetable Garden from Seeds

Tomato Starts

We are fully stocked with everything you need for your seeding needs.

It's a great time to start many seeds. We have seeding trays, soil, peat pots, heat mats; everything you will need for your seeding project. Now is a good time to seed broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, chives, cucumbers, eggplants, mint, mustard greens, onions, shallots, squash, watermelon and zucchini. Save some money and seed many of your own vegetables this year. It's fun and a great family project too!

The Short Project List

PennintonLawnSeed Now is also  good time to think about fertilizing your lawns with a slow release organic fertilizer. Weed and feed can be used if desired and you can start over-seeding your lawns. We just received a new shipment of  fresh, highly rated seed, designed just for Northwest lawns and perfect for over seeding or replanting those bare spots.

Continue cleaning, weeding and mulching your gardens. Prepare your vegetable gardens with an organic mulch like Kellogg's Organic Harvest Supreme, with long-lasting ingredients including chicken manure, bat guano & kelp meal, it is an excellent fortified natural soil amendment for all vegetable & flower gardens.

Tomato Update!

It is still a bit early to be putting out those tomatoes without night tomatcluster protection. We do have some tomatoes available for sale now, but recommend not planting out until the night temperatures remain above 50. We expect to have all our heirloom tomatoes available and ready to plant by May 10th. Please be patient and do not rush your tomatoes and hot peppers! We will update our website by May 1st with a complete listing of varieties available.
