Many early season cooler weather crops could be started in your gardens or garden boxes now. They include many of the great leafy salad ingredients. Consider Lettuces, spinach, cabbage and kale, parsley, argula, collards and others. Many other vegetable that can also be started indoors now with our great local Ed Hume or our organic Irish Eyes seeds. Our seeds and plants are specifically selected for the Northwest gardener.
Remember your onions, shallots, potatoes and other roots crops that can be
planted now too. We have a great selection of onion starts (including the Walla Walla's) at the nursery. Very inexpensive in bundles of 50, or, select freshly grown vegetable paks from our greenhouses. Can't get any better than that!
Many of your seeds can be started indoors too if you choose. Basil,
beans, corn, peas, peppers and tomatoes. We have all the supplies you will need for your seeding; heat mats, trays, soils and lights. Yes, we will have well over 150 Varieties of tomatoes again this year, heirlooms and hybrids. The list will be out shortly. And we will have the best selection of peppers in the Northwest too.
Remember: unless you can protect your tomato plants from temperatures below 50 F outside, just say no until it warms up a bit. Hold off on putting those peppers out too!
