Our few days of "official" spring weather has certainly reminded us what  the Pacific Northwest is all about; In like a lion, and out like a lamb. For those folks new to the Northwest, we want to assure you that this is pretty normal spring weather. Take a close look on your next walk, and you will see that many spring bulbs are emerging, the fruit trees are beginning to bud, and the roses are coming to life. Everywhere we look, the signs of change are here. Birds are singing, squirrels are scurrying about, and even the hummingbirds are out looking for spring nectar.  Spring is in the air!  

Garden Prep Time!

There is plenty to do this time of year. Cleaning up the winter debris from your gardens, refreshing and planning your deck containers, germinating vegetable seeds, planting spring bulbs like dahlias and calla lilies, as well as preparing your vegetable garden. Now is the time for many root crops too; potatoes, asparagus, garlic, and rhubarb to name a few.  Remember your blackberry and raspberry patch too! And continue mulching,  helping to keep the weeds down while enriching the soil.

Spring Color In The Nursery 

It's time to bring some cheer into your gardens and entry ways! Lots of spring color to choose from here at the nursery. Beautiful potted tulips. daffodils, grape hyacinths, muscari, numesia, and pansies for your pots and garden spaces. They are all perfect for this March and April weather.
