Dear

It was a pleasure to see so many of you at the SAWC Spring conference in Denver a few weeks ago. We always appreciate a chance to connect in person, and very much enjoyed the Denver hospitality.

Your reaction to the new Heelift Glide was both overwhelming and gratifying. People were enthusiastic about the new fabric exterior, the extended forefoot with the new forefoot strap, and the overall look and feel of the new product.

One question that was raised over and over: how do I get it?

It's simple, really. If a patient or family member is ordering the boot, they can visit our online store where they can place an order with a credit card. If your facility is purchasing the Heelift Glide (or any of our products), there are a few options. Of course, facilities can utilize our online store just like patients can, or you can order by phone at our toll-free number at the bottom of this page, or by e-mail. Do you have a preferred distributor? We have relationships with most major and many smaller distributors. Check out our Dealers page to see who carries our products. Customers who order by August 1st can receive 10% off their order with the code MAYSAVE10 at checkout.

Our featured article this month focuses specifically on Primary Care, but its lessons would be well heeded by all facilities. Awareness of the problem of Heel Pressure Ulcers is always the first step in both prevention and treatment.

We'd love to hear from you. Have you tried the new Heelift Glide yet? Drop us a line and let us know what you think.

Sincerely,

List of 12 priorities for pressure ulcer study identified by UK researchers

Newspaper

There remain substantial areas of "doubt and uncertainty" about the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers, warn UK researchers.

Pressure Ulcer Update for Primary Care
Carole Bauer, MSN, ANP-BC

Many consider pressure ulcers a problem only for long-term care or acute care. Yet many people are admitted to the acute care setting with a pressure ulcer that has occurred while they are residing at home. For the nurse practitioner in primary care, recognizing the alterable causes of a pressure ulcer and implementing corrective action may prevent the development of a pressure ulcer or halt the progression of a pressure ulcer before a patient requires complex management, including debridement and possible hospitalization.
