Well, after all the hints, we've finally come out and shown you the new Heelift
® Glide. The Heelift Glide is the newest innovation from DM Systems. It's got a soft fabric cover that helps the boot move over the sheets (and under the blankets) without moving on the patient's foot. A new forefoot strap further helps the boot stay in place. We've sent a few early samples out to some clinicians around the country, and the reactions have been overwhelmingly positive.
"Great overall product improvement" said one CWOCN at a facility in Texas "Increases patient comfort and patient perception of product and usage."

As for this month's article, we attended the recent NPUAP Biennial Conference, and even though we spent most of the conference fielding questions from excited attendees about the new Heelift Glide, we did manage to sneak away for a few moments, during which we were fortunate enough to catch a presentation by the estimable Barbara Braden entitled "Is Prevention Really Less Expensive than Treatment?" In an entertaining and informative presentation, Dr. Braden showed just how much less expensive prevention could be. See the slides of her presentation at the right.
