Thanks for Attending Greening the Statehouse!
Fill Out Our Event Survey.  Learn about Three Ways to Stay Involved.

We were truly inspired by the record number of attendees and organizational partners! The level of care for Indiana's environment and the energy that you and your fellow attendees showed were incredible! We are super-charged as we go into the 2016 Legislative Session knowing that we have so many informed supporters who want to be involved as we make our voices heard!

Please fill out a short survey about your experience at Greening the Statehouse!  Not only will you help us by providing valuable feedback, but if you complete the survey, you will be entered into a random drawing to win a $40, $25, or $10 gift card! The winners will be randomly drawn and notified on December 7th, so don't delay! The survey can be found here.
Staying Involved Tip #1: Check out "Bill Watch 2016"!

Our Bill Watch 2016 page is up and running! This is the place to look for any news on environmental-related issues in the Indiana state legislature. We have already included some information on our anticipated legislative priorities there: preserving the rights of all Hoosiers to have clean air and water, which will likely be challenged by factory farm lobbyists; protecting the ability of Indiana's environmental agencies to safeguard our health; defending clean energy policies, from pro-solar policies to the Clean Power Plan. During the course of the legislative session, which begins on Jan. 5th, we will be updating Bill Watch 2016 weekly to keep you informed on legislation, hearings, and calls to action. Keep up-to-date on all of these issues and more on our Bill Watch page here.
Staying Involved Tip #2: Host a "Greening Your Community" Event!

If you are looking for more opportunities for fun and informative networking, be sure to look into attending - or even hosting - one of our Greening Your Community events which will be held across the state over the next few months!  GYC events are laid-back, fun, and informative ways to get your friends, family, and neighbors involved and active with the environmental issues that you care about most. We can help you organize, advertise, and plan your event, so don't hesitate to let us know if you would like more information. Learn more about this fun and educational opportunity here.
Staying Involved Tip #3: Become an "HEC Environmental Advocate"!

Are you looking for a way to be regularly involved in educating and advocating for environmental solutions? Consider joining the "HEC Environmental Advocate" volunteer program!  HEAs will be trained to help with outreach in key legislative districts, represent HEC at community events, present to local groups, and much more! If you are interested in learning more about this new program please contact our Senior Outreach Associate, Amanda Shepherd. Our training sessions will begin next month so contact us today!
