The SK Bass team competed in its inaugural tournament on March 12 at Kentucky Lake. Seniors Colten Downs,Eric Greene,Taylor Holtkamp, Aidan McNamara,Michael Murray, and Brady Walker will represent our team of 26 student anglers as the first Pioneer anglers. In addition to enjoying the great outdoors and forming a camaraderie, the team's goal is to prove outdoorsman and anglers are stewards of mother nature and invested in the conservation of natural resources. Several local companies and volunteers have made it possible for the team to participate in local fishing activities and statewide tournaments. If you are interested in becoming a boat sponsor for the team please contact Matthew Archer, Brad Walker or Adam Klaine.
RESULTS: The SK Bass Team participated Saturday in the Murray State Open on Kentucky Lake. Due to the weather changing slightly overnight, fishing conditions were very tough. In all, there were 117 boats participating in the tournament, which made this event one of the largest high school fishing events in the country. Brady Walker and Eric Greene caught four measurable fish for a total weight of 10.12 lbs. placing them in 19th place of 117. Taylor Holtkamp and Colten Downs totaled 2 measurable fish for 5.11 lbs placing them in 47th of 117. Michael Murray and Aidan McNamara fished hard all day, and were only able to catch one fish that was unfortunately not large enough to bring in and weigh.
INDOOR TRACK The women's indoor track team won the Conner Invitational this past weekend. The men's team finished 3rd.
MEN'S TENNIS The men's tennis team is accepting players through this week. Practice is Monday right after school @ SK.
