Greetings!
VARSITY FOOTBALL -- 12-0 Undefeated Still After Second Post-Season Game! The Pioneers travel to Cooper on Friday at 7:30 PM on their journey to the state finals in Bowling Green.
The academic team competed in the JV Challenge on Saturday. This is the biggest tournament of the year for our 9th and 10th graders.
The quick recall team posted convincing wins over Covington Latin, Bishop Brossart and Highlands before losing in the championship match. Team members were Nicholas Griffey, Emily Girard, David Chai, Aaron Anderson, Brooke Jones, Brittany Ashley, Brandon Perkins and Jordan Borders.
We also had many students fare well in written assessment: Emily Girard finished 1st in Arts and Humanities and posted the 4th-highest score in the state in Language Arts
Nicholas Griffey finished 1st in Social Studies
Aaron Anderson was 2nd in Science
Ethan Hall was 3rd in Science
David Chai was 4th in Math and 4th in Science
Brooke Jones was 4th in Language Arts
Brittany Ashley was 5th in Language Arts and 6th in Arts and Humanities
Miss Independence Pageant applications are available in the Youth Service Center (Room 130) and the Guidance Office. The winner of the pageant will receive a $1,000 scholarship along with the title and other prizes. A $250 Community Service scholarship is also being offered this year and all pageant contestants are eligible to apply. The proceeds benefit the SK Youth Service Center.
Credit Recovery takes place every Tuesday and Thursday after school in Lab 346 until 3:30 PM. Please see Mrs. Jones in Room 350 before or after school if you have any questions.

Students may pick up a NO PASS / NO DRIVE form in the attendance office during 5th or 6th period with teacher permission only
Parent notes, doctor notes, early dismissals and bus notes may be turned in at the half-door from 7-10:30 AM daily. Please remind your students to turn in all notes to the attendance office.

SK Clubs, Groups & Athletics
NEW BOOK CLUB FORMING! The first meeting of the book club will be Friday, November 13 in Room 104 after school. The book for this month is The 5th Wave and will be discussed on November 20 after school in Room 104.
STUDENTS INTERESTED IN AN INTERNATIONAL FIELD should see Miss Hoerlein for details about an opportunity to network with professionals who work internationally.
STUDENT COUNCIL will meet the first and second Thursday of every month throughout the school year in the Library Media Center from 2:40 - 3:30. ALL grades are welcome. See Miss Hoerlein in Room 207 if you have questions.
GUITAR CLUB will meet from 2:45-3:45 PM every last Wednesday of the month in the chorus room. Anyone interested in playing or learning to play the guitar is welcome to attend.
ART CLUB meets on Mondays in the art room from 2:30-4 PM every other week. Listen to the announcements for updates. $5 dues are to be turned in at the meeting.

 DODGEBALL!
Pioneer Pride Spirit Club is hosting a Dodgeball Tournament on Monday, 12.21.15 from 10 AM -3 PM.
Price is $10 per person. Teams are up to 6 people over the age of 12. At least one player on each team must be female. Players must have a physical form dated no earlier than 12/21/14 to play.
Physical forms and team applications are outside Room 207 and should be turned in with all players' money (together in one sum) by 12.11.15. You are guaranteed at least two games.
