Another big weekend in the SK sports world . . .

Congratulations to the women's cross country team for placing 10th overall in the state meet at the Kentucky Horse Park on Saturday.  Sophia Deliso finished 6th out of the field of 236 runners. McKenzie Lachmann finished 11th overall.  Both made the All-State Team.


VARSITY FOOTBALL -- 11-0 Undefeated Still After First Post-Season Game!  The Pioneers take on Ryle on Friday, November 13 @ SK in post-season action.


Miss Independence Pageant applications are available in the Youth Service Center (Room 130) and the Guidance Office. The winner of the pageant will receive a $1,000 scholarship along with the title and other prizes. A $250 Community Service scholarship is also being offered this year and all pageant contestants are eligible to apply. The proceeds benefit the SK Youth Service Center.

Parent notes, doctor notes, early dismissals and bus notes may be turned in at the half-door from 7-10:30 AM daily.  Please remind your students to turn in all notes to the attendance office.

Student Council is asking students to bring canned food items (including pasta, peanut butter, mac-n-cheese) to their first period teacher. Action Ministries serves Kenton County families in need.

SK Clubs, Groups & Athletics

 NEW BOOK CLUB FORMING! The first meeting of the book club will be Friday, November 13 in Room 104 after school.  The book for this month is The 5th Wave and will be discussed on November 20 after school in Room 104.

STUDENTS INTERESTED IN AN INTERNATIONAL FIELD should see Miss Hoerlein for details about an opportunity to network with professionals who work internationally.
   
STUDENT COUNCIL will meet the first and second Thursday of every month throughout the school year in the Library Media Center from 2:40 - 3:30. ALL grades are welcome.  See Miss Hoerlein in Room 207 if you have questions.
 
GUITAR CLUB will meet from 2:45-3:45 PM every last Wednesday of the month in the chorus room.  Anyone interested in playing or learning to play the guitar is welcome to attend.

ART CLUB meets on Mondays in the art room from 2:30-4 PM every other week.  Listen to the announcements for updates.  $5 dues are to be turned in at the meeting.

Do you enjoy fishing for competition?  See Mr. Archer in Room 105 for more information about joining the FISHING CLUB.
