Greetings!
Congratulations to the Cross Country teams on a great weekend of racing.
The women's team repeated as Regional champions in dominating fashion. Sophia Delisio was the individual champion for the second year in a row, followed by McKenzie Lachmann in second place for the third year in a row. The rest of the team also had great races. The women will move on and compete in the State meet this Saturday at the Kentucky Horse Park. They will race at 1:30 PM. Team members included:

VARSITY FOOTBALL -- 10-0 Undefeated Season! The Pioneers take on Louisville Butler on Friday, November 6 @ 7:30 PM here at SK.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE JV FOOTBALL TEAM for an undefeated season! CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CHEERLEADERS who won the 8th Region competition on Saturday and will compete at State.
The Pioneer Coupon Shop is open outside the cafeteria during SKORE and lunch every other Friday. The next one will be on Friday, November 13. Don't forget to redeem your coupons for prizes
WE A.R.E. SK!
Miss Independence Pageant applications are available in the Youth Service Center (Room 130) and the Guidance Office. The winner of the pageant will receive a $1,000 scholarship along with the title and other prizes. A $250 Community Service scholarship is also being offered this year and all pageant contestants are eligible to apply. The proceeds benefit the SK Youth Service Center.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE SK ACADEMIC TEAM FOR QUALIFYING FOR NATIONALS . . . The academic team finished 2nd in the NKQL tournament Saturday, earning a bid to the High School National Championship Tournament. Team members were Sam Roberts, Emily Girard, Chelsea Russell and Nicholas Griffey. Sam was the 3rd leading scorer in the entire tournament.
The JV team competed in the tournament as well and finished 5-3! Team members were Brandon Perkins, Aaron Anderson, Brittany Ashley and Victor Papyshev. They defeated the varsity teams from Highlands, Scott, Lloyd (twice) and Boone Co.
Credit Recovery takes place every Tuesday and Thursday after school in Lab 346 until 3:30 PM. Please see Mrs. Jones in Room 350 before or after school if you have any questions.

FILL THE BUS CANNED FOOD DRIVE
Fill the Bus Drive for Action Ministries will occur through Friday, November 6. Student Council is asking students to bring canned food items (including pasta, peanut butter, mac-n-cheese) to their first period teacher. Action Ministries serves Kenton County families in need. Contact Miss Hoerlein with questions.

SK Clubs, Groups & Athletics
NEW BOOK CLUB FORMING! All of the twihards, tributes, Potterheads, runners, shadow hunters and book lovers of SK--we would love for you to join the book club! We will meet twice a month--contact Mrs. Doering in Room 104 for details about this month's meeting!
STUDENTS INTERESTED IN AN INTERNATIONAL FIELD should see Miss Hoerlein for details about an opportunity to network with professionals who work internationally.
STUDENT COUNCIL will meet the first and second Thursday of every month throughout the school year in the Library Media Center from 2:40 - 3:30. ALL grades are welcome. See Miss Hoerlein in Room 207 if you have questions.
GUITAR CLUB will meet from 2:45-3:45 PM every last Wednesday of the month in the chorus room. Anyone interested in playing or learning to play the guitar is welcome to attend.
ART CLUB meets on Mondays in the art room from 2:30-4 PM every other week. Listen to the announcements for updates. $5 dues are to be turned in at the meeting.
