NO SCHOOL ON ELECTION DAY - NOVEMBER 3

VARSITY FOOTBALL -- WAY TO GO!   9-0  | Defeated Ryle 28-7

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WOMEN'S SOCCER TEAM for winning in double sudden death overtime to defeat Oldham County and move on to the KHSAA State Soccer Tournament.  The team plays @ 7 PM on Tuesday @ Scott High School.  Come out and support the team!!!!!!

The Pioneer Coupon Shop is open outside the cafeteria during SKORE and lunch every other Friday. The next one will be on Friday, October 30.  Don't forget to redeem your coupons for prizes
WE A.R.E. SK!

Miss Independence Pageant applications are available in the Youth Service Center (Room 130) and the Guidance Office. The winner of the pageant will receive a $1,000 scholarship along with the title and other prizes. A $250 Community Service scholarship is also being offered this year and all pageant contestants are eligible to apply. The proceeds benefit the SK Youth Service Center.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE SK ACADEMIC TEAM FOR SWEEPING DIXIE!  Varsity Match: SK 48, Dixie 19--Chelsea Russell and Emily Girard both had 10 points each.   JV Match: SK 31, Dixie 13.

Credit Recovery takes place every Tuesday and Thursday after school in Lab 346 until 3:30 PM.   Please see Mrs. Jones in Room 350 before or after school if you have any questions.

Parent notes, doctor notes, early dismissals and bus notes may be turned in at the half-door from 7-10:30 AM daily.  Please remind your students to turn in all notes to the attendance office.

SK Clubs, Groups & Athletics

THE BRIDGE CLUB is sponsoring its annual Halloween Dance.  It's nothing fancy, but it will be fun!  It will be from 6 - 7:30 pm on 10/30 in our high school cafeteria.  Costumes encouraged. Light refreshments provided. 

STUDENTS INTERESTED IN AN INTERNATIONAL FIELD should see Miss Hoerlein for details about an opportunity to network with professionals who work internationally.
   
STUDENT COUNCIL will meet the first and second Thursday of every month throughout the school year in the Library Media Center from 2:40 - 3:30. ALL grades are welcome.  See Miss Hoerlein in Room 207 if you have questions.
 
GUITAR CLUB will meet from 2:45-3:45 PM every last Wednesday of the month in the chorus room.  Anyone interested in playing or learning to play the guitar is welcome to attend.

ART CLUB meets on Mondays in the art room from 2:30-4 PM every other week.  Listen to the announcements for updates.  $5 dues are to be turned in at the meeting.

Do you enjoy fishing for competition?  See Mr. Archer in Room 105 for more information about joining the FISHING CLUB.

Counseling Corner

The Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky
is hosting an informational session for interested students and  families in Northern Kentucky Thursday, October 29 @ Conner High School from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM in the auditorium.  Conner High School is located at 3310 Cougar Path in Hebron.  
 
This information session is open to students in the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th grades.

ASVAB  Career Exploration Program

Available to sophomores, juniors and seniors. Students can sign up in the guidance office. This test is optional.
